Pilates floor
Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movements. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even alleviate back pain. This simple, safe and sensible exercise will help you look and feel your very best. At Healthy Life Fitness Centre our floor classes are based on the traditional exercises of the Pilates method, which provide an excellent way to increase your core control, strength and stretch - as well as increasing your body awareness. Group Reformer classes at Healthy Life Fitness Centre offer a Pilates workout using the PILATES REFORMER machines. The reformers use spring tension to create as much or as little resistance as required to increase strength, stretch and core control. The classes incorporate a large repertoire of exercises which creates both a physically and mentally stimulating workout. Group reformer classes are fun and can add a different dimension to your exercise programme. At Healthy Life Fitness Centre we have 8 reformers and run classes throughout the week. Yoga Flow
Yoga Flow is an all-in-one body-mind fitness system that helps to develop strength, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, joint stability, cardiovascular fitness, relaxation, internal health, peace-of-mind and vitality all at the same time. This class works on the sequencing of yoga postures or "flow", harmonising breath with movement and balancing strength with flexibility.
Slowing the breath through movement, calms the mind and allows for greater awareness and mental clarity. Yoga Flow is a great complement to any sport and is suitable for everyone.
Cycle
Similar to RPM, but each class is especially designed and choreographed by our inhouse instructors to get you fitter faster and keep you motivated. If you love an inspiring cardio workout with loads of variety, you better book your bike at reception ASAP ! Are you up for the challenge?
Circuit
Hit every muscle group as you burn calories by zipping through stations of
different fitness equipment. This class combines the benefits of both an aerobic workout (cardiovascular fitness) and weight training (toning and strength). Suitable for all levels of fitness. 45 minutes duration.
Bodyburn
A resistance based class especially designed by our in house instructors to work your butt, thighs and abs in a fun group environment. No running or jumping, just effective conditioning work. If you want to be fitter, stronger and leaner then Body Burn is for you. Suitable for all levels of fitness. 45 minutes duration.
Power Hour
An invigorating new freestyle class based on bar work, boxing and circuit work. Lots of variety so you never get bored and achieve results fast. You will be stronger, leaner and fitter in no time with Power Hour.
X-Box
Energetic, fun class combing boxing with cardio to increase fitness, burn fat and improve muscle definition. Boxing gloves are provided, cotton liners to be purchased from reception.
Fusion
A combination of bodypump followed by bodystep. Fusion – a great way to burn extra calories by incorporating weights and cardio in one class.
